Today kicked off our second time joining in on the Hollis’ Last 90 Days challenge. If you are unfamiliar, the Last 90 Days challenge is a challenge developed by Rachel Hollis to strive to “live the last 90 days of the year as intently as the first 30”. You can find more info on the challenge here.
Last year, we made the change to go on the Keto diet, and we are still going strong with it. We didn’t incorporate the “5 to Thrive” last year, but we are doing so this year. According to Rachel Hollis, the “5 to Thrive” are:
Get up an hour earlier than normal.
We’ll be getting up at 4:30 every morning. Today went well and we hope to keep the momentum rolling.

Workout at least 30 minutes.
We’ll be doing yoga, running and some weights every morning.

Drink half your body weight in ounces of water every day.
I’m sitting between 172 and 176 on any given day, so that’d be between 86 and 88 ounces a day, but I’ll just round to 90 to make it easy.

Give up one food category that you shouldn’t be eating.
We’re still on the keto diet, but we will be giving up diet soft drinks and our chocolate “cheats”
Write down 10 things you are grateful for each day.
The way we understand this is it is supposed to be 10 things from that day that you are thankful for, big or small. This is supposed to refocus you on the things you can be thankful for on a daily basis, rather than always looking at the negative.
We’ve seen amazing progress from the changes we made during last year’s challenge and we are striving to do even better this year. We are planning to do more posts and follow-ups and we hope that you’ll join us in our journey.
